Park Events & Programming

Events-craterlake-16 2.jpg

From national auditoriums to community school venues, we’ve had almost every sort of public event, both real-world and virtual.

NPAF works closely with artists and the parks (and their affiliates) to offer events and programming that reflect on both the artist’s experience in the parks and the long history of the parks themselves.

We’ve had Will Oldham and Elsa Hansen do a combination concert and live textile art performance, as well as a forthcoming national poetry tour sponsored and in collaboration with The Poetry Foundation. Artists have shown films they have made at their residency and songwriters sing songs they wrote at the parks based on historical research. Artist exhibitions and workshops are regular occurrences at nearly every park, and we’ve also partnered with many noted museums and galleries across the country in Washington DC, N.Y., Santa Fe, Dallas and LA to name just a few, to exhibit the work of our National Parks Artists.

Check back soon for upcoming public NPAF programming in the Parks or scroll down to see a sample of events the over three hundred events NPAF has hosted in the past.
